13 months

Oh Elaine Karis, you make us laugh! This girl is going to be our entertainment for a long time to come! At 13 months she is walking/running pretty much everywhere and talking more and more. Yesterday at the table she all of a sudden blurted out HEAD and put both hands on her head; she knows how to get the attention!
A few things you should know about Elaine...
-Men other than those related or those who are familiar TERRIFY the poor girl! Add a hat, and we are done! This break down most often occurs at places like Wal Mart and Costco where older men come to talk to my pretty girl. I probably appear quite rude as I dash off in another direction to avoid these encounters as often as possible!
-All of a sudden this girl is putting down the food. It is just a guess, but I am thinking we are working our way out of that 14th percentile. However, 12 month clothes still tend to be a bit big on little Lainie.
-Since this new love for food has developed, a passion for sleep has too! We are talking 14ish hours at night! Elaine has not been quite as easy to sleep as Lizzie was, so this has been very refreshing for Mommy!
-I baby Elaine more than Lizzie. Maybe because she loves to snuggle and to be close to me, and I really like that. Or maybe she is just more demanding, but things like warming up her whole milk in her sippy cup- never for Elizabeth, and I still do it for Elaine!
-Lamb Chop and paci are necessary for bedtime! Yes, I have created another paci girl, but hopefully she will be as easy as Lizzie when getting rid of it too!
-This gal LOVES shoes! With Elizabeth, I could put her on the floor with a basket full of books and she would be delighted for a good while. I attempted this with Elaine. She picked up one book, threw it down and promptly went and got her basket of shoes to try on! Oh dear!
-Elaine is going through an "I don't really like my class at church" phase... Grrr... praying this ends soon!
-The swimming pool calls her name and she comes running- NO FEAR! Gotta watch out for this one!
-The hair that Elaine does have IS growing. It appears to be blond and CURLY! I have not a clue how to deal with this- Aunt Jenn will be her resource the rest of her life if this curly hair sticks around!
We love you Lainie!

Ella Joy!

On June 1, Gabriella Joy Bock arrived! Justin and I are proud to now be Aunt Ang and Uncle Justin! We were able to take our fam down to College Station a couple of weeks ago to see our beautiul little niece. She is a great baby and absolutely gorgeous! Megs is a great mommy, and with the exception of a silly detailed feeding and diaper log she had kept for 19 days, she is super laid back! Way to go Megs! Lizzie did really well with Ella, even though I am pretty sure she was bored out of her mind for 24 hours:) Lainie wasn't too sure about this baby her mommy was holding and kissing all over! We also got to see Aunt Sarah who was visiting baby Ella too! What a fun weekend!
